We’re getting married

I’m sorry, I can’t fit anything else in my head right now. We’re getting married on

26 September at 13.00 in Helsinki!

Everything is ready for the wedding and I can’t wait! I’m a bit nervous, but most of all I’m looking forward to it so much!

We are going to spend a new days in Helsinki after the wedding, and on Saturday 3 October we will have a big wedding party at Nordly Grendehus in Bodø.

Usually I don’t want to commit myself to anything. I don’t want kids, I don’t want a permanent job and I don’t want to buy an apartment or house. Job, kids, house, car - how predictable is that!?

So, to compensate, I figured I wanted to do just one of the traditional things that people do. I want to get married because I really cherish the love you get from and give to a life companion. I’ve found a lot of joy in loving someone and being loved.

I’ve felt safe and relaxed with Andreas since the day I met him. We have always been a great team. We have the same sense of humour and we enjoy each other’s company. When we became a couple, I simply knew that he was the one I wanted to be with. He was the one I wanted to marry. Luckily he felt the same way about me.

And I know that we have so much to look forward to.

Thanks for reading, I just needed to get it out ;-)

Thanks for nothing!

Election day was yesterday, and we didn’t get any representatives to the Storting.
Thanks for nothing, Norway!

The only comfort we got is that the left side still gets to rule. ;-)

The left side is the right side! Hahah..! Haha… Ha.

The melody of this song is exactly what I feel like today:

watch?v=Y4OLQB7ON9w

Where are we? What the hell is going on?
The dust has only just begun to form,
Crop circles in the carpet, sinking, feeling.
Spin me round again and rub my eyes.
This can’t be happening.
When busy streets a mess with people
would stop to hold their heads heavy.

Hide and seek.
Trains and sewing machines.
All those years they were here first.

Oily marks appear on walls
Where pleasure moments hung before.
The takeover, the sweeping insensitivity of this
still life.

Hide and seek.
Trains and sewing machines. (Oh, you won’t catch me around here)
Blood and tears,
They were here first.

Mmm, what you say?
Mm, that you only meant well? Well, of course you did.
Mmm, what you say?
Mm, that it’s all for the best? Ah of course it is.
Mmm, what you say?
Mm, that it’s just what we need? And you decided this.
Mmm what you say?
What did she say?

Ransom notes keep falling out your mouth.
Mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut-outs.
Speak no feeling, no I dont believe you.
You don’t care a bit. You don’t care a bit.

Ransom notes keep falling out your mouth.
Mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut-outs.
Speak no feeling, no I don’t believe you.
You don’t care a bit. You don’t care a bit.

You don’t care a bit.

(Imogen Heap - Hide and Seek)

Why I vote for socialism

Election is coming up soon. I really hope that people will vote for what they actually believe in, instead of voting tactically (that is, voting for one of the big parties just to hinder the Progress Party (Frp) to gain more power). As for the supporters of the Progress Party, I don’t know what to say to them. Good luck to you guys!! Feel better!!

Many people choose not to vote for a small party because they think that their vote will be wasted because the party will never gain power anyway. But maybe the picture would have looked different if people started voting politically instead of tactically?

We always need the forces of the smaller parties! Those are necessary forces in the policical picture. How can these parties get into power if nobody dares to vote for them? If they can’t get votes, they can’t get funds to do a proper campaign and get bigger. They need every single vote they can get. I think that we need these forces more than ever, because of the climate problems, financial problems and (in Norway) the increasing popularity of the Progress Party.

I’m going to vote for Rødt (a socialist, revolutionary party) because

- I want more power to the people
- Rødt has the best solutions/policy for facing the climate problems
- Capitalism is unhealthy (look at the financial cricis!) and supresses poor countries.
- Individualism is egoism. The western society is all about individualism. More and more people are lonely, antidepressants are doing great!
- The war in Afghanistan has to stop
- Equal rights for sexes
- Better asylum policy
- Consumerism is going out of control
- Better pensions
- More jobs/activities/people outside the cities
- Less bureocracy
- Quality public services and schools

and so on, and so on…

I really started to believe in the party when it went from Rød Valgallianse to Rødt. Hopefully the prejudices against the party will eventually disappear.

Stem for miljøvern, bedre kollektivtrafikk, velferd, arbeidsplasser, stem mot meningsløs krig i Afghanistan - Stem Rødt!
